Answer to ChatGPT: Apple is working on its own AI chatbot

According to Gurman , similar to ChatGPT or Bard, Apple has developed its own framework to generate large language models. Based on this framework, which is apparently known internally as "Ajax", Apple is said to have developed a chatbot service that some engineers have dubbed "Apple GPT", according to the Bloomberg reporter. Ajax was created to unify machine learning development, internal sources say.

According to information from Bloomberg, Apple's AI tool runs in the Google cloud and was developed using Google's JAX. This is a framework designed to accelerate research in the field of machine learning. Apple has several teams working on the AI ​​project, which also takes into account possible privacy implications.

Ajax: Apple is wary of generative AI

In May, Apple's CEO expressed concerns about AI products during a conference call as there are "a number of issues that need to be addressed." Despite the concerns, he concluded by saying Apple sees AI as "huge" and will continue to invest in related technologies for its own products.
