Dangers of Artificial Intelligence

The 4 dangers of AI Here are some of the biggest concerns voiced about the future of AI – and humanity. Leading experts in artificial intelligence (AI) have sounded the alarm about the pace and scale of recent advances in the field, warning that they represent nothing less than a threat to humanity. This is particularly the case of Geoffrey Hinton, an award-winning computer scientist known as the "godfather of AI", who quit his job at Google last month to raise concerns about the uncontrolled development of new computer tools. 'AI. “I suddenly changed my mind about whether these objects will be smarter than us,” Hinton, 75, said in an interview with MIT Technology Review this week. "I think they are very close to it today and they will be much smarter than us in the future... How are we going to survive this? Mr. Hinton is not the only one worried. In February, even Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, said the world might not be "that far away...

What are the weaknesses of ChatGPT?

Image
For some aspects, ChatGPT does not offer any reliability: He doesn't tell the truth.  ChatGPT says what people want to hear from the information it has.   He only knows a compartmentalized version of what people say about the real world, using that information to create compelling language to convey what he's learned. He can't count.  I tried to replicate  Jonas Degrave's simulation at Engraved using a more complicated calculation  and got the wrong result.  It correctly tries to multiply the two numbers from this Python command that it knows how to simulate, which is quite remarkable.  However, he simply does not know how to count. He can't think.  He often writes relevant descriptions and claims about what I asked of him and confidently misapplies them.  He cannot reason;  it is not a finite automaton (FSM). His false modesty is somewhat embarrassing.  ChatGPT writes with aplomb and authority, but shyly tells you he's only ...

How does artificial intelligence work?

I –  What is artificial intelligence?  (Definition of AI) There is no universally accepted definition of artificial intelligence.  First, because it is a new, evolving, and experimental science.  Second, we can't even define exactly what human intelligence is... In its simplest form, AI is the attempt to imitate human intelligence using a robot or computer. software to replace tasks that humans can perform, but also tasks that surpass them. A – General artificial intelligence Since the beginning of artificial intelligence in the 1950s, engineers have imagined intelligent machines or robots that could be able to perform all kinds of tasks, switching easily from one to another. AGI or  Artificial General Intelligence is referred to systems that can think, learn, reason, plan, understand human language, and demonstrate logic at the height of human abilities.  However, AGI is now the subject of debate in the scientific community and is still far fro...

How artificial intelligence is changing our world?

Image
How artificial intelligence is changing our world? Today's changes have a new driver that played a subordinate role a few years ago: artificial intelligence.  The question of how this will affect the future world can be summed up in a single sentence: Machines get their own consciousness. This technological change will change and affect our entire world.  And I would like to summarize this in five theses: The age of the digital universe is just beginning: each of us and everything will be intelligently networked with each other. There are no limitations: Intelligent AI systems will invade  all  areas of this world.  The age of machines with their own consciousness begins. Under these framework conditions, a new type of human is emerging with a completely new understanding of the relationships between humans and machines. These novel interactions from digital shadows and intelligent agents to humans and machines is the beginning of the age of hybrid intell...
